WWO is Now Rise Alliance for Children!
Our History
Rise Bulgaria is part of the international network Rise Alliance for Children, founded in 1997 by Dr. Jane Aronson, a pediatrician and scientist dedicated to the care of children with severe developmental delays and social difficulties. Since its inception, the organization has been developing innovative programs that support vulnerable children and families around the world by providing quality education, health care and social support.
Today, Rise Bulgaria continues this mission by promoting early childhood development and learning through play for every child – an approach that stimulates children’s overall development, including their cognitive, social and emotional skills.
Over the past 28 years, more than 225,000 children and their families have received support from Rise’s programs, which are implemented in Bulgaria, Ethiopia, Haiti, Ukraine, the USA, Vietnam and other regions. Our goal is for every child to grow up healthy, confident and with the opportunity to develop their full potential.
Our goal
Our goal is to create conditions for every child in Bulgaria to have access to appropriate services for quality early education and care, with dedicated and competent specialists applying modern models of learning through play and experience.
